qualified Civil Engineer with hands –
on experience in all aspects of the vertical
transportation industry, Mathews is perfectly
positioned to understand the compulsions of
the Developer, Architect and the Project Engineers
and balance it with the constraints and language
of the vertical transportation manufacturers.
His study of transportation engineering also
helps him understand the principle of traffic
analysis.

Mathews has conducted seminars and presentations
on the subject of vertical transportation and
technological advancements in the field as well
as on the subject of traffic analysis. The audiences
have included the engineers of ECC L&T –
Chennai, Andhra Pradesh Housing Board, Dalal
Mott MacDonald, MCHI and CREDAI.

Mathews has been a representative on the ET25
panel constituted by the Bureau of Indian
Standards for rewriting the Elevator &
Escalators Codes as well as for the elevator
section of the National Building Codes.

He is also a member of the International
Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE)
, National Association of Vertical Transportation
Professionals(NAVTP),
National Association of Elevator Safety
Authorities(NAESA)and
of the Indian Institute of Engineers
(IIE) .

has done his engineering from the University
of Dar es Salaam, MBA from the Birla Institute
of Technology, Mesra and Executive Development
at the IMD, Lausanne.

exposure to all kinds of equipment and best
practices.

Marar has
been personally involved with the execution
of many landmark projects like the New Oberoi
– Mumbai, Jaslok Hospital – Mumbai,
Hotel President – Mumbai and the Vidhan
Bhavan - Bhopal. In recent times Marar has installed
the elevators for the tallest building in India
Shreepati Towers - Mumbai, the Grand Hyatt –
Mumbai and over 2 dozen buildings for the Hiranandani
Group of Companies.

Marar has
hands–on and in-depth experience in executing
complex modernization projects. Some of the
landmark modernization projects that Marar has
executed include the Bombay Stock Exchange,
Nai Vidhan Bhavan – Mumbai, MTNL - Mumbai and
the Hyatt Regency – Delhi.

Marar has exposure to all types of latest technology
and processes, he has gained his reputation
